Keen to find out more about some new paid roles working with youth in our community?
A new opportunity has arisen for us to partner with Salt Trust to provide youth workers at Orewa College and Orewa Beach Primary School. To find out more and explore the possibility of stepping into these roles, join us to meet the team and find out more about what is involved in making a difference for youth on the Coast.
24/7 Youth Work
Youth workers run the 24x7 programme, a mentoring based programme that enables them to connect with students at the College who may be struggling with issues at school or in the home, or who are wanting connection and support. The team work closely with the Orewa College Guidance and Counselling Department to mentor and support students identified as most in need. Youth workers each work closely with students one on one, and provide a range of small and larger group experiences and events for students.
Primary Project
Primary Project partners with primary schools to provide a variety of programmes that equip children with the lifelong relational skills they need to truly thrive. These skills can’t be taught from a textbook. It’s the time spent role-modelling, encouraging, affirming, and practicing that makes the biggest impact on a child’s ability to form and maintain strong relationships with others.
