Summer Sabbath resources

We are leaning into our annual sabbath rhythm over the summer holiday season before our services resume in January. This is a time we invite you to explore practicing some soul-filling, rest-filled rhythms in this season that can then spill over into your new year’s rhythm or rule of life. Things like stopping, resting, delighting in the people and simple pleasures in your life, and worshipping God in a creative variety of ways.

“Sabbath becomes a decisive, concrete, visible way of opting for and aligning with the God of rest.” ― Walter Brueggemann, from his book: Sabbath as Resistance: Saying No to the Culture of Now

If the concept of sabbath is new to you or you’d like to explore more, the resources created by Practicing the Way are super helpful to watch or listen to and practice over your summer break.
