A summary of our privacy policy at Coast Vineyard (Privacy Statement)
Introduction
Coast Vineyard Church (Coast) takes seriously our obligations around the privacy requirements when dealing with your information. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (the Act) when dealing with personal information. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual (a natural person).
To achieve this, we have established a privacy policy framework which includes a Privacy and Data Information Security Policy. Our policy does not limit or exclude any of your rights under the Act. If you wish to seek further information on the Act, see www.privacy.org.nz.

Collection of personal information
Information is collected for purposes associated with the proper function of Coast. Those purposes will be consistent with the provisions of the Privacy Act 2020. When collecting personal information, we will advise you about the purpose for collection and how the information will be used.
Use and disclosure of personal information
Generally, personal information may only be used by Coast for the purposes for which it is collected. We will not use this information for a different purpose or disclosed to anyone other than the person concerned. There are some permitted exceptions to this. For example, we may use personal information for a purpose other than that for which the information was collected if the information is used in a form in which the individual concerned is not identified.
Storage and security of personal information
We will securely store the personal information it collects and creates. As part of this, personal information is only accessible by authorised staff and is protected by appropriate security measures. We will hold information only as long as the information is needed.
Requests for personal information (correction and access)
Under the Privacy Act 2020 a person has the right to request access to their personal information (IPPs 6 & 7). If you believe your personal information is inaccurate, then you may request that the material be corrected by us. You can also ask for your data to be deleted at any time, but we may keep some if there is a valid a requirement to do so.
We aim to respond to any requests as soon as possible. Once a request has been considered, we will advise if any information is to be withheld and provide the reasons for withholding any information. If anyone is dissatisfied with our response, then they may contact the Privacy Commissioner.
